pig manure into profitable organic fertilizer
The basic principle of organic fertilizer production is to mix organic materials such as feces and urine with sawdust, straw shreds, etc. And carry out natural fermentation or add microbial aerobic fermentation to convert organic matter into stable humus. Different manure cleaning methods and processing scales have slightly different methods.
For small-scale pig farms, a manure storage tank of a certain area can be used for composting. There are also small fermentation equipment for small-scale pig farms. But the cost is relatively high and it is generally not recommended. Large-scale pig farms require larger sites and equipment to produce organic fertilizer.
Strand composting is a common method. The raw materials are stacked into strips, and ventilation pipes are buried underground for intermittent ventilation and oxygen supply. The pile is turned once a day. At present, the fermentation site is 3,200 square meters, the warehouse is 1,000 square meters. There are 12 composting lines, and the annual design output of organic fertilizer is 10,000 tons. The total investment in infrastructure plus compost turning machines, crushing, screening, packaging equipment, trucks. And forklifts is more than 500,000 US dollars. To produce 10,000 tons of organic fertilizer, about 20,000 tons of compost raw materials are needed, 5,000 tons of auxiliary materials are removed, and about 15,000 tons of pig manure and urine are processed.

Based on this estimate, the daily processing capacity is about 55 tons. Based on windrow composting, trough composting has been developed with a higher degree of automation. After adding materials from one end of the trough, the compost-turning machine moves forward 3-4 meters every day. After 20 days, the fermented organic fertilizer is discharged from the other end. The depth and width of the organic fertilizer equipment trough should be designed according to the model of the compost-turning machine. And multiple troughs can share one compost-turning machine. Taking the daily processing capacity of 10-20 tons as an example, the total price of a simple shed plus a compost-turning machine is about 500,000-600,000.
The tower fermentation method uses top lifting to feed, turning in the tower, and rapid fermentation through oxygen. It has the advantages of a small footprint, closed and odorless, and short fermentation time. But the equipment cost is high, the power consumption is large during operation, and the operating cost is relatively high.
Finally, let’s talk about how to use pig manure to make biological fertilizers!
The production and processing of biological fertilizer first needs to go through the decomposition process to turn pig manure into organic fertilizer, and then add biological functional bacteria to process it into biological fertilizer.
Production process
- Material preparation: Main material: Fertilizer that has been thoroughly fermented and decomposed once; Functional fermentation agent
- Site selection: Choose a place that is sheltered from the wind and facing the sun and has a flat terrain for operation
- Operation requirements
- The size of the fermentation pile is: 0.8-1 meter high and 2.0 meters wide, with no limit on length
- The moisture content of the fermentation pile is 55-65%. The moisture loss of the fertilizer that has been fermented once needs to be added
- The average temperature in the pile is lower than 55 degrees. Ferment for 7 days. If the temperature is too high, turn the pile or spread it flat. When the temperature drops to about 30 degrees, spread it out and let it dry naturally.
- Specific operations
- Adjust the moisture of the fertilizer fermented once to about 60%
- Add the bacteria and the fertilizer fermented once, mix them evenly, and pile them naturally. Do not pat them with a shovel. If it rains, cover them with plastic film.
- The dosage of the secondary fermentation functional bacteria agent is 5% (5 kg per ton)
