Disc/Pan Granulator
Granulation Principle: The inclined pan rotates at a fixed angle. Powdered material is carried upward by friction against the pan surface, then rolls downward under gravity. By spraying a binder (such as water or other agents), the powder gradually aggregates into spherical pellets.
Product Characteristics: The pellets are highly spherical and uniform in shape. As the process is visually observable, operators can adjust moisture levels in real time.
Production Capacity: Relatively low, typically suitable for production lines with an annual output of 10,000 to 50,000 tons.
Pelletization Rate: Exceptionally high, reaching over 93%.

Rotary Drum Granulator
Granulation Principle: Inside a large horizontally rotating drum, materials tumble and cascade under the combined effects of gravity and centrifugal force as the drum rotates. Steam injection or binder spraying facilitates agglomeration through chemical reactions or physical bonding, gradually forming pellets.
Product Characteristics: The resulting pellets are generally spherical, though slightly less uniform in roundness compared to those produced by a pan granulator.
Production Capacity: Suitable for large-scale fertilizer plants with an annual output ranging from 50,000 to 200,000 tons, or even greater.
Process Flexibility: Allows for the injection of steam or ammonia inside the drum for thermal granulation, enhancing pellet hardness and overall quality.

Double Roller Granulator
Granulation Principle: Two counter-rotating rollers (equipped with mold cavities) apply high mechanical pressure to compress powdered material into flakes or pellets.
Product Characteristics: The pellet shape is determined by the cavities on the roller surface, usually resulting in elliptical, pillow-shaped, or flattened spherical forms.
Production Capacity: Medium range. Commonly used for compound fertilizer production with an annual output of 10,000 to 30,000 tons.
No Drying Required: A key feature of this method. The material moisture content is typically kept below 5%–10%, so the pellets can be directly sieved and packaged without drying or cooling.
