Detailed steps for fermenting chicken manure into organic fertilizer

Preparation before decomposing chicken manure

fertilizer-making machine!
You can choose to mix chicken manure or new chicken powder evenly, and then prepare straw, rice bran, dried corn, etc. It is recommended that you add some straw cut into 2-3 cm. Then control the overall humidity of the material between 50% and 60%. The criterion for judgment is that when you pick it up, you can see water but not dripping. It is recommended that the amount of uncovered rice bran or dried corn should be between 20% and 30% of the chicken manure.

Mixing ingredients

Choosing fermentation bacteria is the key. It is recommended that you use an organic fertilizer starter because it has higher activity and ferments compost faster. It can completely kill pathogenic bacteria, insect eggs, and grass seeds in the feces. The bacteria can be mixed with corn flour rice bran and other materials and sprinkled directly dry, or mixed with water to mix evenly, and then sprinkled on the feces.

Fermentation process

Step 1 Compost. Pile the materials into a width of 1.5-3 meters, and the height should be more than 1 meter and not less than 1 meter. A range of 1.2 to 1.5 meters is more suitable. There is no need to cover the film with appropriate heightening in winter. If there is a lot of rain, cover it with a layer of film. It is an aerobic fermentation, which requires air circulation and loose materials.
Step 2: Turn over the pile. Start turning the pile when the temperature inside the pile reaches 55 degrees to 65 degrees. Generally, turning the pile 2-3 times is enough. Step 3 is a sign of successful decomposition. Generally, within 10 to 20 days, the temperature in the pile drops to 45 degrees and stops heating up. The materials are loose and odorless, and there may be a little smell of ammonia. The growth of white mycelium on some materials means the fermentation is successful.
